With a cold front having recently made its way through South Florida, locals can say goodbye to the high humidity and brace for what's shaping up to be a serene spell of weather. According to the National Weather Service, today's sunny skies will see temperatures rise to a pleasant high near 83 degrees, matched with a northwest wind shifting northeast in the afternoon, which could see gusts as strong as 18 mph.
As night falls over Miami, the scene will be mostly clear with the mercury dipping as low as 63 degrees, while the wind, having recently pushed through the cold front, will calm down to a gentle 6 to 13 mph coming from the east before shifting northwest in the evening. Tomorrow morning will greet Miamians with mid-60s and won’t climb much above 80 degrees. A moderate chop will also be present on Biscayne Bay due to a north breeze that's strong enough to increase rip current risks slightly, according to the National Weather Service.
NBC Miami reports that with humidity levels dropping, the weekend will continue to deliver agreeable weather conditions. With abundant sunshine on the forecast, Sunday will stay sunny with a high peaking near 79 and an east wind maintaining a pleasant rhythm between 10 to 13 mph. The night will remain mostly clear with a low around 67.
Looking into the next week, the warming trend will take a slow climb, but temperatures won't stray far from the low 80-degree mark. Monday's forecast is sunny with highs near 80 degrees, and as for Tuesday, people hitting the streets will find conditions sunny, breezy with highs around 81, and east winds gusting as high as 23 mph. According to NBC Miami, rain chances throughout the week seem scarce, promising a stretch of days drenched only in sunbeams and cooled by benevolent breezes.
