A Miami woman was busted for setting up a makeshift recovery ward for cosmetic surgery patients in a South Miami home, police said. Daaiyah Alneesha Roundtree, 43, faces several charges including operating an unlicensed assisted living facility after authorities discovered seven post-op patients and one pre-op patient in her care.

Miami-Dade cops, acting on a tip-off, raided the residence at 6620 SW 63rd Court where Roundtree operated "MLC Post Op." The facility reportedly charged $250 to $350 per night, payments were made in cash or through Cash App, according to Local 10 News. Roundtree, who is not a licensed healthcare provider in Florida, purportedly paid her employees in cash too.

Patients at the residence were allegedly provided with services including bathing, dressing, eating, medication, and assistance with personal hygiene. These claims were found during interviews conducted by detectives at the scene, as detailed by NBC Miami.

The house raid not only unraveled the unlicensed medical care but also exposed unsanitary conditions. Roundtree was accused of "illegally dumping human medical waste of a hazardous and biologically dangerous nature," placing soiled medical waste in a regular trash bin rather than in a biohazard container, “creating a credible and actual biological hazard to the well-being and health of the public,” said authorities. Despite the severity of the allegations, jail records indicated that Roundtree was set to be released on a $7,500 bond the following Wednesday.
