A woman has died after being struck by a vehicle as she attempted to cross I-95 North near NW 2 Street, causing traffic to back up extensively. The fatal incident, which occurred on the busy interstate, left two lanes open while authorities conducted their investigation.

The Florida Highway Patrol reported that the woman unsuccessfully tried to navigate the roadway before a white Honda SUV collided with her, leading to her death at the scene. In response to the accident, the Miami Police Department alerted motorists to expect delays and road closures on SW 8 Street and I-95 through a post on X following the accident.
