Okeechobee Teenager Arrested for DUI Manslaughter After Triple Fatality Crash in Port St. LucieSource: Port St. Lucie Police Department

A 19-year-old from Okeechobee, Florida, has been arrested following a deadly crash that claimed the lives of three teenagers and left another seriously injured, officials reported. Dylan Ray Boully now faces multiple charges, including three counts of vehicular homicide and DUI manslaughter. The tragic incident occurred last month in Port St. Lucie when the pickup truck Boully was driving, a Dodge Ram 1500, slammed into a tree at a high rate of speed while under the influence of alcohol, CBS12 reported.

The arrest was the result of a coordinated effort between the United States Marshals Task Force and the Okeechobee County Sheriff's Office. According to the Port St. Lucie Police, Boully's blood alcohol content was more than twice the legal limit. On the fateful evening of March 15, the truck veered off Southeast Veterans Memorial Parkway at approximately 80 mph, twice the posted speed limit. The crash ejected and killed 16-year-old Draiden Lee Frank, 20-year-old Leah Marie Herman, and 18-year-old Jimmie Dale Brown, while 17-year-old Lia Marie Tucker survived with serious injuries, as detailed by WPTV.

Boully himself suffered minor injuries in the crash, police said. In a statement obtained by CBS12, the Port St. Lucie Police Department elaborated on the impact of the incident, stating, "Three of theoccupants, Draiden Lee Frank, 16, Leah Marie Herman, 20, and Jimmie Dale Brown, 18, were ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene of the crash." The remorseless physics of the collision spelled an instant end to young lives and ushered in a season of mourning for families and the community.

Port St. Lucie Police Chief Richard Del Toro expressed his hopes for the judicial process in the aftermath of a such tragedy. "While the arrest of Mr. Boully will not bring back the three victims that died that night, I hope that his arrest will be the first step in the healing process for the victims' family and friends as Mr. Boully is ultimately held accountable for his actions," Del Toro said, as reported by WPTV. Boully was booked into the Okeechobee County Jail with a bond set at $320,000.
