A deadly outbreak of gunfire rattled a strip mall in Inkster early Friday morning, leaving one man dead and another fighting for his life. Michigan State Police reported that the incident occurred at approximately 1 a.m. near Henry Ruff and Cherry Hill, right north of Michigan Avenue. Officers who rushed to the chaotic scene discovered two men with multiple gunshot wounds. According to WWJ Newsradio, a 35-year-old man was later pronounced dead, and a 33-year-old remains in critical condition.

Witnesses are being sought by the authorities, hoping to unfold the series of events that led to the tragedy. Having canvassed the area for evidence throughout the night, the investigation, formerly under the helm of Inkster Police, has now been turned over to the Michigan State Police.
