The Plano community let out a collective sigh of relief as the Plano Police Department confirmed that Sabine Saati, the 15-year-old girl reported missing on April 8, was found safe and is currently being reunited with her family. The announcement, shared via the department's official Facebook page, expressed thanks to everyone who contributed to locating the critical missing juvenile. "Thank you to everyone who helped share this post and look for this missing girl. We greatly appreciate your help!!" the Plano Texas Police Department said.
Before she was found, Sabine Saati had last been seen walking westbound past Fire Station #2 on W 15th St towards Independence Pkwy around 11:40 am, after vanishing from Vines High School located at 1401 Highedge Dr. The Plano Texas Police Department had urgently sought the public's assistance to quickly locate Sabine, who is diagnosed with Autism but is high-functioning. "She does not have a cell phone with her," stated the Plano Texas Police Department, underscoring the urgency to find her.
Described as 5'4" with a small build, with brown hair and brown eyes, Sabine was wearing a black zip-up, hooded-style shirt, blue jeans, black sneakers with white rubber outsole, and a black pack at the time she was last seen. A detail that the police shared was a photo in which the girl appeared with her hoodie pulled over her head, although her hair was said to be pulled back in a mid-ponytail previously. These details were critical in aiding the public to identify and report her whereabouts.
As the news of her safe return broke, the Plano Police Department urged the public to stay vigilant and to continue to always report any sightings of missing individuals promptly. "If you have any information as to her location, or if you see her, please call 911 immediately and reference Plano Police incident #24-75822," the Plano Texas Police Department elaborated, reinforcing that collective awareness can markedly increase the chances to swiftly bring the missing home.
