As the city's watchdog on construction and renovation, the bureau has laid down the law: get your permits in before the costs rise on July 1. Locals have until the end of June to slip under the fiscal wire using the current, more palatable rates, according to the City of Portland Oregon.
In the scramble to meet deadlines, it's digital first with the bureau urging submissions via Development Hub PDX by 11:59 p.m. on June 30, to beat the price bump; it's not just about a click, though, applications must clear muster on submission requirements and answering swift back-and-forths with various review groups is a must or else risk stumbling at the final hurdles before the fee hike," as per the City of Portland Oregon.
Those who can't manage the online juggle are pointed towards the Development Services Center for in-person filings, but note, the window tightens with a drop-dead cut-off at noon, June 27.
