Early Wednesday morning, a report of a shooting in Northeast Portland led officers to discover a man, now deceased, in the Hazelwood neighborhood as the Portland Police Bureau initiates an investigation into the suspicious circumstances surrounding his death.

According to KGW, the police were called to a home on Northeast Everett Court near Northeast 97th Avenue around 5:18 a.m. and found the man already dead adding that homicide detectives were called to the scene based on the evidence found, however, the specific nature of the evidence has not been publicized and the identity of the man and his cause of death are yet to be disclosed.

In a separate account, KPTV reports that the police have not detailed the evidence that prompted the ongoing homicide investigation nor have they released the victim's name, only revealing that the home in question lies within the 9700 block of Northeast Everett Court.

Furthermore, KOIN urges anyone with potentially pivotal information to come forward and assist the police in this investigation.
