The Ramsey City Council rounded off last week's agenda with a brisk sweep of unanimous approvals and prospective plans for local developments. Key advancements in the city's infrastructure and business landscape include the impending construction of new automotive repair shops and an extension to a city-wide moratorium on adult-use cannabis businesses, according to the City of Ramsey.

As per the City of Ramsey, the meeting kicked off with a showcase from QCTV, detailing a year's worth of programming and public engagement metrics. Following the presentation, the council breezed through 14 consent agenda items, giving the green light to various initiatives without a hitch.

Among the items up for discussion were two resolutions concerning the future of automotive repair services in Ramsey. One such resolution saw Blanery LLC's plan to set up an 8,500-square-foot auto body shop at 6591 141st Avenue NW come to fruition. The property, which will include office space, is expected to finalize the purchase at the year's end, pending additional approvals. A purchase agreement and right of re-entry agreement were unanimously sanctioned by the Council.

The second resolution focused on Complete Auto Service, which proposed an automotive repair facility that's just shy of 10,000 square feet at 5195 142nd Avenue, as reported by the City of Ramsey. The plan includes thirteen service bays and four overhead doors, alongside a privacy fence complete with plantings to provide a buffer to neighboring residential properties.
