
A shooting in South Memphis over the weekend has left one man fighting for his life and two others injured. The Memphis Police Department responded to reports of gunfire on Cleaborn Street near Ratliff Lane shortly after 8:30 p.m., where they found three victims of a shooting incident, Action News 5 reports.
According to the police, around 8:35 p.m., officers arrived at the scene where one man had sustained injuries severe enough to warrant immediate transportation to Regional One Health, where he is currently listed in critical condition. The two other men, also suffering from gunshot wounds, arrived at Methodist University Hospital by private vehicle and are expected to survive, FOX13 Memphis detailed.
No arrests have been made following the violent episode, and the assailants remain at large. The Memphis Police Department has not yet released details on any potential suspects or motives behind the attack, reflecting a somber narrative that has become all too familiar in this area.
