Chaos erupted in the early hours Sunday near Soho Lounge in South Nashville as six individuals were shot following an argument. Police responded to a 911 call reporting the incident at about 2 a.m. on Bell Road, according to WKRN. A perpetrator was apprehended, identified as 24-year-old Erik Dewaun Williams, a convicted felon who was out on bond from a prior indictment.

The rapid police response included the Specialized Investigations Division TITANS detectives who were on a special assignment in the area when the violence unfolded. Williams was seen trying to hastily drop a pistol upon noticing law enforcement and was detained after an attempted escape, reported NewsChannel 5. All six victims were transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, and authorities have confirmed they are in stable condition.

As per FOX 17, Williams is facing six counts of felony reckless endangerment and one count for unlawful gun possession by a convicted felon. At the time of the shooting, he was on a $50,000 bond from a 2022 indictment on related charges and is expected in court next month for that case. Williams also has prior convictions in Rutherford County and Sumner County.

The victims had previously frequented the Soho Lounge, and at least two people are believed to have exchanged gunfire, leading to the six injuries. A 911 call about people armed and fighting signaled the beginning of the incident. The victims, from Columbia and Spring Hill, Tennessee, were rushed to the hospital in two separate vehicles, one of which crashed en route at the intersection of Bell road and Murfreesboro Pike, detailed NewsChannel 5.
