Chaos erupted in an Attleboro cannabis dispensary on Thursday when a SUV barreled through its walls, leaving three people with injuries. Shortly after 1:30 p.m., a Nissan Pathfinder operated by a 62-year-old woman crashed into the Zahara Cannabis Dispensary, according to authorities. Fire Chief Scott Lachance of the Attleboro Fire Department reported that the vehicle plunged around 15 feet into the dispensary located on Frank Mossberg Drive.

The driver and two others, one a 34-year-old man inside the store and a 42-year-old woman on the sidewalk, were victims of the unanticipated incident. They were quickly transported to a local hospital with injuries that were deemed non-life-threatening. NBC Boston relayed that despite the incident, the building was found to be structurally intact post-evaluation by a city building inspector.

In the wake of the crash, firefighters used a hydraulic tool to cut through the building’s exterior, fashioning an opening big enough for the vehicle's removal. As described to WHDH by Michael Kochekian, the general manager of Zahara Cannabis Dispensary, “I heard a big crash and then loud screams,” that prompted him and fellow managers to rush from the back of the store to the site of upheaval.

Details regarding the dynamics that led to the accident remain under scrutiny by the Attleboro Police Department. "We rushed out there to see at the vehicle in the middle of the sales floor," recounted Kochekian about the immediate aftermath. Community members and patrons alike have been rattled, awaiting further information on the driver's condition and potential factors contributing to this disruption at a local business meant to provide relaxation and relief.
