
Two individuals are facing charges following a routine traffic stop in North Adams, Massachusetts, where officers uncovered heroin and crack cocaine. The North Adams Police Department, with support from local law enforcement, executed the stop on Howland Avenue at about 2:15 pm.
During the course of their investigation, police officers arrested the vehicle's driver for operating with a suspended license, an offense under Massachusetts General Laws; Chapter 90 Section 23. Additionally, substances believed to be heroin and crack cocaine were found in possession of the vehicle's occupants. The driver faces charges in accordance with the Chapter 94c Section 34 - Possession of Class B (Crack Cocaine).
Authorities confirmed that the passenger was also charged with drug possession, including Class A (Heroin) and Class B (Crack Cocaine) substances — also under the provisions of Chapter 94c Section 34. According to Facebook post by the Adams Police Department, both individuals were released on $40.00 personal recognizance and are scheduled to appear in Northern Berkshire District Court for their arraignment.
