Wednesday looks promising with early fog clearing by 9am, making way for a sunny sky and a high of 84 degrees with gentle north winds stirring at just about 5 mph. The evening is set to remain clear with comfortable lows around the 61-degree mark, and only a light northwest wind that's expected to settle down by bedtime.

Led into Thursday by a sweet southeast breeze, Atlantans can bask in sunny conditions and temperatures rising to 87 degrees. The light doesn't last forever, though—Thursday night brings partly cloudy skies but maintains a mild minimum temperature of 63 degrees. As calm precedes the potential storm, the serene scene belies the tumult that might follow.

As the week rolls on, Friday continues the trend of partly sunny skies and a high near 85, but Friday night presents a 50% chance of showers and thunderstorms. The tumultuous weather carries into the weekend, maintaining a similar chance of rain and thunderstorms during both the day and night on Saturday, with highs around 80 and lows around 65 degrees.

Sunday's forecast isn't breaking from this pattern either, with a 30% chance of showers and thunderstorms that could carry into Sunday night. Temperatures should hover around the low 80s during the day and mid-60s at night. Monday promises no reprieve with a continued 30% chance of rain and thunderstorms and a partly sunny sky reaching a high near 84.
