A woman is fighting for her life following an afternoon shooting in the Oakhaven neighborhood of Memphis. The Memphis Police Department reported that the incident occurred at approximately 2 p.m. on Saturday at the intersection of Lamar Avenue and Knight Arnold Road, as per FOX13 Memphis.
Responding officers found the victim with gunshot wounds. She was rushed to Regional One Health in a critical condition, where she currently remains. Details surrounding the shooting are sparse, and no suspects have been identified in the case as of yet, according to the police statement.
In a separate report by Action News 5, authorities have yet to release any information regarding potential suspects. The MPD is actively investigating the shooting as the search for those responsible continues.
