A Worcester woman is in cuffs after cops say they found a heap of cocaine in her car. Yeimy Holguin, 32, from Paine St., was nabbed on April 19 by a detail of local and federal lawmen in a joint drug bust, according to officials.

In an intricate sting that put together by the Worcester Police Department, the DEA, Massachusetts State Police, and the Worcester County Sheriff’s Office, officers tailed a vehicle on Vernon St., and Holguin, was at the wheel. In her possession, a significant quantity of a substance believed to be cocaine was discovered, Worcester Police reported on their official Facebook page.

The bust emanated from a concerted operation in collaboration with the United States Postal Inspection Service, which evidently paid off when Holguin got intercepted. The amount she's accused of carting around was over 200 grams, landing her a charge for Trafficking in a Class B Substance.

More details on how the task force came upon Holguin or how the vehicle stop was executed, were not immediately available. What stands clear, however, is Holguin's entry into the justice system, where the weight of the law now sits firmly in her path. She was subsequently booked and is expected to face the trafficking charge in court.
