Antioch Man on Probation Arrested in Brentwood with Alleged Burglary Tools During Traffic StopSource: City of Brentwood - Police Department

A routine car stop turned into a bust for the Brentwood Police Department last Sunday when officers nabbed a 35-year-old man on probation for vehicle theft and found a trove of burglary tools in his possession. According to a Facebook post from the Brentwood Police Department, the unnamed officer patrolled near Lone Tree Way and Canada Valley Road at around 4 PM when he spotted a car missing its rear license plate. The driver, identified as Robert Garcia of Antioch, was pulled over and soon found himself in cuffs.

Garcia couldn't produce a driver's license, and it turned out he was already on felony probation for making off with vehicles. Upon searching Garcia's vehicle, the officer discovered numerous sets of keys fitting various car makes, shaved keys—typically used to break into cars—and an assortment of tools, including blades, cutting instruments, a car jack, and a gadget known as a flipper device, possibly employed to compromise digital devices.

According to the Brentwood Police Department's official Facebook page, Garcia was taken into custody on multiple charges: possession of burglary tools, violating his probation, and attempting to smuggle drugs into the county jail. The bust emphasizes the proactive stance of Brentwood's police force in clamping down on crime and trying to maintain public safety in their jurisdiction, the statement explained.
