Located at 750 N Park Ave., the complex boasts five competition-grade courts and a whole host of amenities meant to spike residents' interest. Starting with a youth clinic at 9:30 a.m., the event is poised to set the city as a major player in local amateur sports, having already established a solid sporting reputation according to Bryan Hughes, who told Avondale officials, "The Sand Volleyball Complex at The BLVD complements the myriad of sports and recreation amenities in our city."
Adjacent to the Randall McDaniel Sports Complex, the new facility didn't just come together without some serious investment. To the tune of $2.9 million, including a $162,500 grant from the Arizona Sports Tourism Association, the Sand Volleyball Complex offers shaded spectator seating, drinking fountains, and an array of security measures. Not to be overlooked, the facility also comes with a built-in automatic water system hydration for both onlookers and players alike.
The Avondale complex, constructed by the Chasse Building Team, doesn’t just feature courts with perimeter fencing for a sense of security and privacy.
