A late-night drive went off the rails for one Acura driver on the streets of Boston. In the early hours of today, a 2015 Acura lost control and crashed into the Green Line tracks and fence along the 800 block of Commonwealth Avenue. The impact caused significant damage to the transit infrastructure, wreaking havoc on the morning commute.
Transit Police Department officers were quick to the scene, where they arrested the driver for operating the vehicle under the influence of alcohol. According to the MBTA Transit Police Department's post on X, "TPD Officers based on their observations arrested the driver for Operating Under the Influence of Liquor." This incident left the Acura inoperable, prompting authorities to have the vehicle towed from the scene. No injuries have been reported in the aftermath of the crash.
