The Boston Police Department is turning to the public for help in tracking down a suspect in a brazen armed robbery in Roxbury. The incident took place last night, with officials releasing details and a description of the suspect today.
According to a community alert issued by the BPD, the armed robbery occurred around 5:40 PM near 537 Dudley St. The individual, described as a light-skinned male possessing facial hair, was last seen wearing a white hat, long sleeve plaid shirt, light blue pants, white sneakers, and was carrying a stop and shop bag. During the robbery, the suspect displayed a firearm.
Detectives from District B-2 are leading the investigation and have asked anyone with information to come forward. The Boston Police Department has pledged to maintain the confidentiality of those who prefer to provide tips anonymously.
