DC cops are on the hunt for a crew of crooks responsible for a brazen robbery in Southwest. The Metropolitan Police Department has released images of the suspects and is asking for the public's assistance to help track them down.
The daylight mugging took place last month on April 18th, when an individual was brutally attacked while walking down the 400 block of C Street, Southwest. The perps struck at around 8:40 p.m., assaulting their prey before snatching their belongings and scramming, the police said.
Authorities are tight-lipped about the details, but surveillance snaps from the scene have been disseminated in hopes that someone might recognize the criminals. The updated photos have been posted on the MPD's website in a plea for leads.
Officials are urging anyone with information to step forward, "Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department's First District are seeking the community’s help to locate robbery suspects." the department stated in a news release. They advise citizens to stay alert and report any suspicious activities. Tips can be sent anonymously to the department's official tip line, residents are encouraged to contribute any relevant information they may have.
