A man was arrested for murder tied to a deadly skirmish in Denton, Texas, that left one dead, local authorities disclosed.
Riley Clowers, 24, a resident of Denton, was nabbed Saturday afternoon in a no-drama swoop by the cops in Sanger, this following a bullet-ridden altercation that occurred in a pickup truck on W. Windsor Drive, the Denton Police said, as per the City of Denton, Texas.
The late-night misadventure that spiraled into chaos left an unidentified man dead, another injured, and now one behind bars, as detectives pieced together a harrowing puzzle of gunfire and a botched getaway, Clowers and the unidentified victim stormed the driver of the truck with a firearm, and in the ensuing tussle, tragedy struck.
Police believe Clowers, who brought the weapon to the scene paved the road to a murder charge, because the unnamed man met his end amidst the violent clash, which already had started as an aggravated assault, and reportedly escalated to a deadly level. The suspect is now booked and the investigation plows on, with Detective Logan Miller spearheading the inquiries anyone with the know-how of the case is urged to step forward and can reach out to Detective Miller at (940) 349-8156 or leave an anonymous tip with Denton County Crime Stoppers.
