In the early hours of May 30th, members of the Chicago Police Department swooped in to arrest four juvenile males following a robbery incident, according to a press release. The suspects, two aged 14 and the others 17, allegedly attacked and robbed a 44-year-old man in the 1400 block of S. Jefferson St. in the Windy City's 1st District.
The four suspects face felony robbery charges, while two also picked up misdemeanor battery counts. Police reports claim the event unfolded around 1 a.m., with the alleged young perpetrators swiftly nabbed some thirty minutes later on W. Roosevelt Rd. The charges have been noted, with two juveniles facing the added accusation of physical contact battery and one charged with bodily harm.
"The offenders were quickly placed into custody and subsequently charged accordingly," states the Chicago Police Department's information release. Details surrounding the circumstances of the robbery or the condition of the victim have not been publicly shared at this time.
