
A neighborhood dispute in North Richland Hills, Texas, has ended in bloodshed, with one man dead following a shooting, local authorities report.
The North Richland Hills Police responded to a distressing 911 call at approximately 3 p.m. on Sunday. Upon arrival at a residence on the 7500 block of Windhaven Road, they were confronted with a grim scene: 48-year-old William Platt had suffered gunshot wounds, in the front yard of a home.
Despite prompt medical attention, Platt's injuries proved fatal. He was taken to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead, as per The Dallas Express.
The shooter, a 60-year-old man and Platt's neighbor was arrested by the police. He stayed at the scene likely aware that fleeing would serve no purpose; he had already been nulled by the consequence of his actions. The man's identity remains undisclosed pending official charges, according to FOX 4 News.
The cause of the altercation is not yet known. Police are thoroughly investigating the circumstances that culminated in this fatal encounter.
