A deadly shooting in Whitehaven has claimed the life of a man and left a woman in critical condition early Sunday morning. According to Action News 5, authorities were called to the scene on Kingsgate Drive just before 3:00 a.m., where they discovered the male victim, who was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Memphis Police Department has yet to release suspect information pertaining to the incident which took place at the 3600 block of Kingsgate Drive. The female victim was urgently taken to a local hospital and is reported in critical condition. Attempts are now being made to quickly gather more information as the authorities have appealed to the community for assistance.
