A man is fighting for his life after a shooting took place on Ridgeway Road in Memphis last night. Action News 5 reports that the incident occurred near Pebble Beach Avenue at approximately 9:28 p.m.
Rushing to the scene, Memphis Police found the man with gunshot wounds, quickly transported in critical condition to a local hospital. While trying to secure the area, they advised motorists to avoid the stretch of Ridgeway Road until the investigation was complete.
The Memphis Police Department has yet to release information on potential suspects in connection to the shooting. Local Memphis indicated that all lanes of traffic were blocked between Winchester Road and Ridge Meadow Parkway due to the ongoing investigation at the scene.
Authorities are conducting a thorough exam of the circumstances that led to the man, found seriously injured.
