
Three men sustained injuries during a midday shooting on Winchester Road in Memphis, police officials said. According to Action News 5, the incident occurred shortly after 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, prompting local law enforcement to respond to the scene. While two of the victims were taken to the hospital in critical condition, the third was listed with injuries deemed non-critical.
Memphis Police are now on the hunt for three suspects, believed to have made their getaway in a gray Nissan sedan. As reported by WREG, the suspects, three in number, fled after the shootout that left three wounded. Details on the suspects remain scant as the authorities continue their investigation, urging the public to come forward with any noteworthy information.
The shooting took place in the 4800 block of Winchester Road, a stretch that runs between Capleville and Parkway Village. Local Memphis reports that the shooting targeted a vehicle, which left two men severely injured and a third with less serious wounds. The Memphis Police Department (MPD) has yet to release additional information regarding the circumstances that led to the vehicle being shot at.
