Miami braces for a blend of sunshine and showers as South Florida's weekend weather forecast suggests mostly sunny skies with occasional rain. Today's high is expected to be a comfortable 83 degrees with a slight chance of showers before noon followed by a chance of sprinkles in the afternoon; humidity remains high at 85 percent, with easterly winds traveling at about 9 mph, according to the National Weather Service.

The weather pattern seems to be stuck on repeat, nice weather will persist through the weekend with temperatures hovering near the 85-degree mark, although we could see some brief, isolated showers coming in from the Atlantic, "they will be quick and not everyone will see them so no big deal," says a forecast by Local10. But don’t pack away your umbrellas yet, with the overnight lows staying around a steady 75 degrees there's a 20 percent chance of showers after 3 am tonight, and this intermittent rain dance is expected to continue into the early hours of Monday.

Going into the new week, South Florida won't be ditching the umbrellas as there is a consistent 20 to 30 percent chance of showers, particularly in the afternoons along with potential thunderstorms brewing midweek. "A chance of showers, with thunderstorms also possible after 2pm," the National Weather Service projects for Sunday, as the east winds pick up to 13 mph, gusting as high as 18 mph under mostly sunny skies.

By the time we hit the second half of next week Miamians should prepare for things to heat up, literally, as daytime temperatures are forecasted to approach a sweltering 90 degrees, the Local10 forecast hints at a midweek rise with "high temperatures nearing 90° again." The warm trend continues with Wednesday and Thursday set to see sunny skies and highs comfortably reaching the mid-80s, so it appears that beachgoers and outdoor enthusiasts can largely bank on sunny days ahead, but it wouldn’t hurt to keep an eye to the sky just in case those quick Atlantic showers decide to make an appearance.
