Previously, the Brentwood Police had issued a public plea for assistance via Hoodline to find the teenager, last seen on May 8. Her absence was alarming because she had not attended classes at Heritage High School as intended, and her known hangouts had yielded no sign of her presence. Notably, the police suspected she had made her way to the San Francisco area.
Demari Powell, distinguishable by a scar on her forehead and two tattoos, was last seen in a red crop top, blue jeans accented with a black and white polka dot belt, black and white shoes, and a rose quartz Buddha necklace. With the community on high alert and a description that made her recognizable amongst crowds, the efforts to locate her intensified. The Brentwood Police reached out through social media and dispatch numbers and encouraged the option of anonymous tip-offs, ensuring that all leads could be pursued without hesitation.
The details of her whereabouts during the time of her disappearance or the circumstances of her discovery have not been shared by the Brentwood Police Department. Those with further information about the case can still contact the Brentwood PD Dispatch at 925-809-7911, where maintaining anonymity remains an option.
