
After a citywide search that had locals on high alert, two visiting seniors who disappeared in Plano have been found. Doris White, 67, and her companion, 80-year-old Gibson, were located in Allen, Texas, confirmed the Plano Police Department. "The couple has been located in Allen, TX living their best lives," the Plano Texas Police Department posted. "All is good, thank you, everyone, for sharing!"
The pair were reported missing after they were last spotted going for an evening stroll around 5:30 pm on the 7400 block of Alma Drive, according to initial reports. White, struggling with mobility issues, was wearing dark pants and a floral shirt; while Gibson, suffering from dementia, donned a red shirt and red shorts. After the couple vanished, the search extended beyond Plano's jurisdiction, reaching Allen's northern city limits, the domain of the Allen Police Department.
With family and local authorities concerned for their wellbeing, the couple's absence triggered an urgent community response. Information about Doris and Gibson's last known whereabouts was widely disseminated, rallying residents to aid in the search for the beloved pair.
In their message prompted by the happy conclusion, the Plano Texas Police Department expressed gratitude toward the community for their involvement.
