A motorcyclist in Skokie is clinging to life after a hit-and-run crash left him with severe injuries, authorities said. The crash, which occurred near Dempster Street and LeClaire Avenue just before 10 p.m. Sunday, involved a motorcyclist who was hit by a driver in a red SUV or van, which then fled the scene, as reported by CBS Chicago.
According to Skokie Police, the motorcyclist was traveling eastbound on Dempster Street, when the driver of the red vehicle drove northbound, from LeClaire Avenue, crashing into the motorcycle. No arrests have been made following the incident, and the vehicle in question is still at large. A statement obtained by ABC 7 Chicago confirmed that the motorcyclist was seriously injured and taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.
