A Nashville liquor store owner is putting cash on the barrel head to catch a booze bandit. Last Chance Liquors has announced a $500 bounty, offered through Crime Stoppers, for tips that could help put a cork in the case of a thief who spirited away with premium alcohol earlier this month.
The liquor larcenist, whose image has been circulated by the police, is accused of walking into the Dickerson Pike store on May 6th and casually pilfering three top-shelf tequila bottles. Evidently aiming to ensure the thief doesn't get away cleanly, the store owner is keen to quickly tab any information leading directly to an arrest and conviction. According to the Metro Nashville Police Department, the suspect fled the scene on foot, but not before security cameras caught a glimpse of the heist.
In a bid to pour out support for the local business, authorities are urging anyone with knowledge of the suspect's whereabouts, or any tips that might lead to a break in the case, to come forward. A clear message is being sent: the community won't stand idly by while local stores get ransacked.
