In a rapid response to a fatal shooting last week, Oakland Police swiftly apprehended the alleged gunman, swiftly bringing Justin Jenkins into custody within 30 hours of the deadly incident. The victim, identified as Michael Seymour, met his end on May 5 after being shot while in his car near 12th Street and Lake Merritt Boulevard and later crashing in the 1200 block of 1st Avenue, where he was declared dead at the scene. According to the Oakland Police Department, Jenkins was armed with a loaded firearm upon arrest.
