A deadly spate of shootings rocked Frayser in a span of few hours leaving one man dead and four others critically injured. According to WREG, the chaos began last night when officers responded to a shooting on the 2700 block of Range Line Road. The violence continued into the early hours of Tuesday with multiple incidents reported across the neighborhood.

At around 11:30 p.m. on Monday, victims with gunshot wounds were located on the 1000 block of Jackson Avenue, some 5 miles from the initial shooting site. FOX13 Memphis reported that two men were subsequently rushed to a hospital in critical condition. As officers canvassed the scene, another incident was reported a little after 1:00 a.m. on the 2100 block of St. Elmo Avenue where another man was critically wounded and taken to Regional One Hospital.

The string of gunfire did not stop there—around 3:12 a.m., police were called to the 2500 block of Durham Avenue, according to WREG. At this location, one man was pronounced dead at the scene, while another received a graze wound and was treated on-site. The Memphis Police Department has stated that all shootings are part of an ongoing investigation.

Meanwhile, a separate shooting occurred in the Binghampton area early Tuesday. Authorities were alerted to another violent episode on Caradine Street just after midnight. A man was transported to a hospital, first via private car to Methodist North, then to Regional One Hospital for further treatment, as reported by Action News 5. The suspects are said to have fled in a dark-colored vehicle, deepening the sense of urgency and alarm as the city grapples with a night of widespread violence.
