An Oregon City motorcyclist met a tragic end this past Saturday after crashing on Highway 213. Steven Andrew Boyles, 38, was declared dead at the scene of the accident, which occurred near milepost 13 in Clackamas County, as per authorities.

Boyles was riding a black Yamaha motorcycle northbound when, for reasons still to be determined, he lost control. The bike veered off the road, taking its rider to a deadly halt off the northbound shoulder. Oregon State Police, while still investigating, have yet to release why Boyles may have failed to maintain control, as reported by KOIN.

The crash was a solo incident with no involvement of other vehicles, which raises questions about the factors contributing to Boyles's inability to safely navigate the highway that afternoon. According to a statement obtained by KPTV, police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the tragic crash.

The accident, occurring around 2:54 p.m., was documented by Molalla Pioneer.
