A frantic search is underway for a missing Massachusetts teen, who disappeared nearly a week ago, authorities said.
The Braintree Police Department has confirmed that Brodisiah Martin, who goes by Brody, ran away from home on May 22 and was briefly spotted by his father on Tuesday before he bolted again, according to a Facebook post by the department. Brody, a 15-year-old light-skinned black male, was seen at the Southwest Middle School in Quincy at approximately 4 p.m. He stands 6 feet 1 inch tall and weighs 150 pounds, making him a standout in a crowd, his father reported to the police.
When Brody's father approached him at the school, the teenager fled, indicating he may not want to be found. The concerned father notified the authorities, who have since launched an extensive search for Brody. He is believed to be staying with an acquaintance simply known as “RJ” in Quincy, but the exact location is still unknown.
The Braintree Police spread the word of Brody's disappearance through their social media platforms, describing his last known outfit as a light gray hoodie paired with matching light gray shorts. The department also noted that the slender teen had been entered into the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) database as a missing person. They are urging anyone with information about Brody’s whereabouts to contact them at 781-794-8600.
