In a major crackdown on the city's rampant drug issues, the San Francisco Police Department (SFPD) arrested two Oakland men, Jose Ramos Erazo, 36, and Jonathan Ramos Erazo, 33, for their alleged involvement in a prolific Tenderloin narcotics ring, the department reported.

The SFPD detailed that during a search of the Erazo duo on May 23, officers discovered roughly a pound of heroin, 6 kilos of fentanyl, 2 kilos of methamphetamine, and over $7,000 in cash, which is just a fraction of the scourge these streets have seen. The arrest followed an ongoing investigation that pointed to the brothers dealing illegal substances in one of the city's most drug-afflicted areas.

According to the department's news release, subsequent searches at the suspects' Oakland residences turned up more stashes, which included additional quantities of methamphetamine, fentanyl, heroin, oxycodone, and stacks of US currency.

Jose Ramos Erazo is now facing multiple charges, including possession for sale of a controlled substance, possession of methamphetamine for sale, resisting arrest, and running a drug house, among other charges. Jonathan Ramos Erazo's rap sheet mirrored his brother's, including additional conspiracy and resisting arrest counts. Both men have been booked into the San Francisco County Jail.

The investigation is reportedly ongoing, with authorities urging anyone with information to contact the SFPD Tip Line at 1-415-575-4444 or Text a Tip to TIP411 to initiate a confidential dialogue.
