A manhunt concluded on the streets of Portland as cops nabbed a suspect, Cory J. Jackson, aged 43, in relation to a string of violent stick-ups. According to a bulletin from the Portland Police Bureau, Jackson was cuffed during a Stolen Vehicle Operation the other night, after promptly walking into cops' clutches at a North Tomahawk Island Drive lot.

The arrest came about when the Vancouver Police Department tipped off their Oregon counterparts about the wanted man's cross-border jaunt. Officers from the Portland Police were already engaged in a crackdown on auto theft when they sprung into action to intercept the alleged robber. A business was swiftly cleared as law enforcement made their move, leading to an arrest devoid of drama or further danger to the public.

With Jackson now behind bars at the Multnomah County Detention Center, the charges he's facing stack up from multiple armed robberies among other reported offenses. The Portland Police Bureau's Major Crimes Unit is spearheading further investigations into the felonies.
