The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation is seeking the assistance of the public in identifying a man whose body was found in Norris Lake earlier this month. In a report by WVLT, authorities stated the discovery was made in the Grainger County section of the lake on May 4.

Initial efforts to identify the deceased have been unsuccessful, and details such as how long the body had been in the water, remain unknown. The TBI described the man as being in the 40 to 50 age range and about 5′8″ tall. He was clad in blue and black plaid pajama pants, white socks, and adorned with two Figaro chain necklaces and, a black and grey Timex watch when found, as per the WBIR report.

Radio NWTN added that one of the necklaces recovered featured a pendant of a cross. Photos of these jewelry items have been released in the hope that it may assist in the body's identification. Anyone with information that could help agents identify the man has been urged to contact the TBI at 1-800-TBI-FIND or the Grainger County Sheriff’s Office at 865-828-3337. In the meantime, TBI continues its investigation into the man’s identity and the circumstances of his death, with the local sheriff's office also involved in the efforts.
