Chaos erupted on a quiet Atlanta street during a video shoot that turned violent, leaving three men injured from gunshot wounds. The incident unfolded at approximately 4:50 PM yesterday as officers rushed to 2179 Verbena Street NW, attracted by an emergency distress call.
The first responders found two victims at the scene: a 24-year-old male with a bullet in his arm and a 27-year-old male shot in the back. Despite their injuries, both men were alive and talking, and they were quickly spirited away to the hospital. A third victim, a 23-year-old male who had been grazed by a bullet in the neck, somehow managed to get himself to a medical facility before the police arrived on the scene.
According to the Atlanta Police Department's report, all three males were conscious and breathing when attended to by medical personnel. The shooting, a preliminary investigation suggests, spun out of control during what was supposed to be a video production, transforming what should have been a scene of creativity into one of carnage.
Detectives from the Aggravated Assault Unit are investigating the incident, reaching out to witnesses and gathering evidence to uncover the truth.
