The City of Atlanta has notified the public that the regular service for trash, recycling, and bulk item pick-up, will shift to accommodate the observance of Juneteenth. According to a statement from the City of Atlanta administration, the Department of Public Works Office of Solid Waste Services will not conduct collections on Wednesday, June 19, 2024.
With the temporary break in service on the holiday, pickup is set to occur one day later than usual for the remainder of that week. Wednesday's haul will now be done on Thursday, while Thursday's route will shift to Friday. Residents normally served on Fridays should set their bins out by 7 a.m. Saturday, June 22, to ensure their waste is collected.
This modified schedule is applicable to all types of waste management services provided by the City of Atlanta.
