Bedford police are actively searching for a man implicated in the demise of an elderly woman whose body was discovered at her residency in the 2400 block of Meadow View Lane last Thursday. After responding to an emergency call about an unconscious individual at approximately 4:14 p.m. on June 7, authorities located the deceased woman in her home and have been treating the situation with the weight it undeniably commands, as reported by the Bedford Texas Police Department.
The incident escalated when police viewed surveillance footage depicting a slender, pale-complexioned male adorned in a black shirt, black tights, and white tennis shoes, potentially wearing a wig approaching the elderly woman's door before the tragedy unfolded. The footage detailed an interaction wherein the suspect requested to use the victim’s phone and after being denied access, police believe he may have forced entry, leaving much to the imagination due to a lack of visual evidence of the interior events. Bedford Police has not made the imagery from the security tapes public, citing ongoing investigative reasons.
The Bedford Police Department has issued a warning, urging the citizenry to remain vigilant of their surroundings and to exercise caution, keep doors closed to strangers, and not hesitate to contact law enforcement should they observe any behavior that raises suspicion in their neighborhood.
