A bicycle rider sustained severe injuries late Wednesday night after being struck by a vehicle, where the driver is suspected of DUI near the Desert Diamond Casino in Glendale, as confirmed by the local police.
The joint response from Glendale and Tohono O’Odham officers to the incident site on Northern Avenue just east of Loop 101 found the injured bicyclist who had reportedly been hit by a truck while going through a crosswalk, the crash investigation is being handled by the Tohono O'Odham Police, and the DUI investigation is conducted by Glendale Police as per information given by both agencies, they have yet to release the identities of those involved, this information was according to ABC15.
The consequences of the crash were critical, as the victim was rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
