The Boston Police Department is appealing to the public for assistance in a case involving larceny and subsequent fraudulent credit card use in the Charlestown and Cambridge areas. According to a community alert posted on the Boston Police Department's website, three individuals are sought in connection with a theft that took place on Saturday, June 1, 2024.
District A-1 Detectives reported that the victim's purse was stolen from a restaurant located in the Charlestown neighborhood. The stolen credit cards were later to quickly use for multiple fraudulent purchases at Galleria Mall in Cambridge. Authorities are now sifting through evidence and have called for anyone with information to come forward.
The BPD assures that the identities of the informants will be fiercely protected, encouraging even those who prefer to remain anonymous to aid the investigation.
