The Arizona Celebration of Freedom presents a family-friendly reprieve with its 15th annual event, according to a recent announcement on Mesa's official website. The extravaganza, sponsored by AT&T, is set to pop off on July 4th, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., in downtown Mesa.
The celebration kicks off with a fireworks spectacle scheduled for 9:30 p.m. following the "Salute to America" program. Also making a splash this year, attendees can indulge in the Primetime Grill semi-truck's array of culinary offerings, described as a 'sensational feast on wheels.' Free admission for all.
Mesa Convention Center's cool confines will display the Hall of US Flags and the Fallen Soldiers Memorial, while outdoor enthusiasts can expect to marvel at patriotic military showcases and vintage farming equipment. A twist of innovation shines through with laser shows set to illuminate indoors thrice with both visuals and music. The outdoor BMX stunt shows return, promising breathtaking feats bound to capture the audience's gaze.
Revolutionary War reenactments, courtesy of We Make History, promise a tongue-in-cheek spoiler: "We win. Yay, America!!" Meanwhile, visitors looking to quench their thirst can head to the free water bar hosted by Mesa Water Resources—keeping in mind to bring their own bottles. The site's 'Cool Zones,' with misting trailers and tents, along with the Splash Zone's inflatable water slides, provide additional respite from the desert heat.
The Arizona Celebration of Freedom Presented by AT&T is made possible by the support of various local businesses and organizations, including the City of Mesa and Mesa Convention Center, ensuring a variety of experiences for all who attend.
