
Chicago police have issued a community alert after a homicide in the city's 10th District, seeking assistance to identify three individuals believed to be connected with the incident. The event, which left one person dead, occurred on June 14, 2024, late in the evening on the 1300 block of South Independence Boulevard. According to the Chicago Police Department's post, the homicide happened at around 8:23 p.m.
The alert released by the police includes images of the sought-after individuals. All three suspects appear to be male blacks, estimated between the ages of 15 to 20. In the efforts to bring justice to the case, authorities are urging anyone who might have information or recognize the individuals in the images to come forward.
Area 4 detectives are in charge of the investigation and have taken the initiative to extend a public plea for support. The detectives hope that witness accounting or community involvement can cast light on the complexities of the night in question, helping to piece together the events that led to the loss of life.
