Clarendon Hills resident Kenneth Hasley, 37, has been charged with one felony count of armed robbery and another for aggravated arson, following a criminal incident that took place last year. The Chicago Police Department disclosed that the Organized Retail Crime Task Force apprehended Hasley on June 24, 2024, in the vicinity of S. California Avenue.
According to the police department's statement, Hasley is accused of carrying out an armed robbery and initiating a fire that endangered lives on September 28, 2023, in a retail business located on S. State Street. This development stems from a detailed investigation that involved reviewing surveillance footage and gathering witness accounts which led to Hasley's identification as the perpetrator.
Details surrounding Hasley's detention have been sparse, but the charges against him are serious in nature.
