The Dakota County Board of Commissioners has officially appointed Angela Blomquist to the Dakota-Scott Workforce Development Board, representing the private sector's interests and strategies. Blomquist, who takes the helm bringing extensive experience from her role as senior manager of talent acquisition at Mendota Heights-based Patterson Companies, is tasked with the challenge to actively contribute to employment and training initiatives catered towards bettering the future workforce of both Dakota and Scott counties.
According to a statement obtained by Dakota County's press release, Blomquist isn't a stranger to high-scale recruitment endeavours. Her claim to fame at Patterson Companies includes the arduous task to effectively manage and fill over 1,400 jobs annually across the United States. She and her team worked diligently to not just recruit, but also to shape professionals through their internship programs, oversee a global mobility scheme, and support diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.
Blomquist’s career is marked not only by her current achievements but also by a significant tenure of 11 years in the cut-throat pharmaceutical industry. Her resume further boasts tenures at eminent corporations such as Cargill and Medtronic. Garnering respect in her field, she wields a bachelor's degree in psychology which underpins her proficiency in human resources and talent engagement.
In addition to her dedication to her professional roles, Blomquist finds time to give back, volunteering for the Spring Lake Park High School Boys Soccer Booster Club.
