Caught between the vicious flames and survival, 33 souls found themselves displaced, including two elderly individuals and children, alongside their pets, who were rescued by firefighters, according to information provided by the Boston Fire Department. While grappling with the arduous task, a firefighter sustained minor injuries, as reported by NBC Boston. As the community awoke to the calamity that befell it, aid came swiftly with the Salvation Army and the American Red Cross stepping up to offer assistance to those impacted.
Adding to the complexity of their task, firefighters faced obstacles posed by multiple power lines stretching across the front of the affected buildings. These hindered their use of aerial ladders, compelling them to opt for ground ladders instead, as they worked to extinguish the fire that displaced 33 people in Dorchester. Details surrounding the cause of the fire are yet to be disclosed, and the status of any injuries among the residents remains uncertain at this point in time.
