The Escondido Police Department is actively seeking the public's assistance to identify a suspect involved in an assault of a 63-year-old woman at a Ralphs Grocery Store. According to the Escondido Police Department, the incident occurred on March 28 and began as a verbal argument over the extended use of a restroom at the store, located at 2417 East Valley Parkway.
The suspect, a male, was reportedly waiting for the victim as she exited the bathroom, and upon her exit, he sprayed her in the face with pepper spray which caused injury. He attacked her a second time with the spray before fleeing the scene with individuals who appeared to be family members, in a black SUV. The police have provided an image of the suspect and are asking for help in identifying him.
